If your child should be attending Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 School Year and they have not been registered:

Registration is necessary to be included in upcoming events.

There will be no in-person appointments scheduled from now until after Labor Day.

Welcome to Southmoreland School District, home of the Scotties, where we take pride in our schools and our community.  We look forward to enrolling your child/children in or district.  Please read all instructions and review the required registration documents prior to accessing the Kindergarten Registration Tab below.

Registrations will not be processed until all required documents are received.

ELIGIBILITY

For a child to register for Kindergarten they must:

• Be five years of age by September 1^st of the current school term
• Have a birth certificate
• Meet state immunizations law requirements

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

The following documents are required for registration:

• Proof of Residency (copy of a utility bill, lease agreement, rental agreement, sales agreement, or other proof as determined by the school district, documents must contain your name, address and date within the last 30 days)
• Birth Certificate
• Immunizations

PROVIDE IF APPLICABLE

• Residency Affidavit (only to be completed for students not living with a biological parent or legal guardian)
• Technology Agreement (to be completed by families who will be accepting a technology device from the district)
• Copy of IEP or 504 (if applicable)
• Custody Agreement or Court Order (if parents are separated or divorced)
• Guardianship Papers (if the student resides with someone other than a parent)
